We are looking for a legendary leader to supervise our crew on one of our most iconic vessels. This role covers everything from housekeeping to guiding kayak trips around the Fiords!
This is a small, close knit family so you will be constantly on the go with your teammates. You will work alongside the crew performing a variety of different duties including servicing cabins, training crew, assisting in the galley preparing food and instructing and guiding guests in outdoor adventure activities. As the Supervisor of Passenger Services on the Navigator you'll be responsible for ensuring the Overnight Cruise Operation runs smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
Focusing on developing and motivating a strong team that works well together to provide Remarkable Customer Experiences;
Supporting staff and ensuring they have appropriate preparation and training for their roles;
Providing guidance, recognition and constructive feedback around staff performance;
Keeping the communication channels open and effective between the Navigator team, the Manapouri Office and external contacts;
Accurate ordering of goods to ensure the vessel has sufficient stock;
Ensuring that the vessel is presented to the highest standard.
This is a fixed-term, full-time position starting mid-September and finishing in May 2021. You will be on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, providing you with an unique opportunity to work and play hard in this beautiful part of Southern New Zealand. You'll be based on board the vessel for your days on; with your own accommodation and all meals provided.
As part of your role you will have the opportunity to gain a NZ Certificate in Domestic Maritime Crewing - a NZQA approved qualification.
