Growth Copywriter

The Role:

We’re looking for an experienced copywriter with a strong understanding of the customer lifecycle for saas products, to focus heavily on our direct marketing and conversion driven copy. Sitting in our Marketing team but working very closely with growth, you’ll be communicating Linktree’s features and driving sign-ups. You will hunt for consistency and dial up the brand tone of voice while maintaining focus on conversion; you can cleverly balance the two without compromise on one over the other.

You will know how to optimise copy for different stages of the growth flywheel, make informed decisions through qualitative and quantitative data and work closely with the growth team to hypothesise user behaviour and use copy to encourage direct action.

What You Will Do:

• Own the copy approach and roll out for the growth team to clearly communicate Linktree’s features, benefits and reason-to-believe
• Lead with a conversion, growth and direct-response-led approach to drive optimization of our
• USPs across channels and stages of the flywheel.
• Use Linktree's brand voice pillars to develop a copy tone bespoke to growth output – ensuring it reflects consistently across paid media, automation emails, in-product messages and go-to-market comms.
• Make decisions through validating assumptions with qualitative and quantitative data every step of the way – playing back insights from growth team experiments to the business to drive a data-driven decision-making culture.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in a similar role at a SaaS company or growth marketing agency
• An understanding of how product marketing works and how messaging should function at different stages of the growth flywheel.
• Experience working with global businesses that operate across multiple currencies and languages
• Ability to be flexible with style and tone depending on the brand, medium and goals – and to show this flexibility, range and consideration of a brand’s voice in their work samples
• Proven experience in engaging with a large customer bases (over 1M)
• Proven experience in testing and driving results with language
• Passion for growth and know the importance of keeping customers as key to long term success
A level of long term strategic thinking, with ability to be tactical and execute.

We are a global, diverse group across age, gender, and race and offer a truly flexible and family friendly work environment. Kids, pets, and the occasional delivery person are all actively encouraged to appear on our Zoom screens. All of us at Linktree work either fully remote or a hybrid "remote, but in-office sometimes" approach and that will continue even when COVID is behind us.

We currently have offices in Melbourne, Sydney and LA is coming next, but our team is spread across Australia, United States, and New Zealand. Growing from 20 people in early 2020, to 50 in 2021 and over 200 in 2022, Linktree is still growing rapidly!

Being globally distributed doesn't mean working to one timezone and we offer autonomy and flexibility in how you structure your days and weeks. There will be the need for some collaboration outside of a "normal" 9-5 being a global company, but we aim to work asynchronously where possible.
