Account Manager

Ensure all Movio clients make effective use of the products and features available to them. Movio Account Managers are focused on adding value to our clients’ businesses by connecting all moviegoers to their ideal movie.

Role Description:

Responsible for the day-to-day management of a select portfolio of key Movio accounts, across Movio’s cinema exhibitor, film studio, film distributor, media agency and publisher client base. Assisting clients in the use of Movio’s products as part of a specific campaign, or their wider Marketing Strategy. This may include periodically designing and executing campaigns for clients and assessing and reporting on their effectiveness.

In addition, the role will require focus on client retention, nurturing existing customer relationships as well as hitting upsell targets. The role is also responsible for supporting business development activites relating to Movio products and services, including proactive development of proposals and supporting new cinema, studio and agency client acquisition.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Manage a select portfolio of Movio’s client accounts in the EMEA region, including a mixture of exhibitors, distributors/film studios and digital media agencies.
  • Share and communicate the value of Movio with Movio’s clients and prospects
  • Manage multiple client requests at one time and coordinate the resolution of all product and service issues in a timely manner, escalating to key internal people where required, and ensuring client is kept informed throughout
  • Provide guidance on client’s targeted marketing strategies across various media channels (email, digital campaigns, social campaigns, etc…)
  • Work with Movio’s leaders and marketing team on Movio client case-studies, press activity, and industry events as required
  • Conduct platform training for new client staff around major platform enhancements, virtually and/or in-person
  • Draw up digital or social campaign, research, feature development and services contracts
  • Provide support in the requirements gathering, planning and the implementation of specific client-facing projects e.g. BAU features, Module implementations, email template design, bespoke research reports, data science requests and development requests
  • Periodic monitoring, assessment, and reporting on the effectiveness of the various client campaigns across both Movio Cinema and Movio Media products and recommend changes to improve engagement and ROI

Business Development

  • Supported by EMEA’s Regional Director and Business Development Director, support the response to client RFPs
  • Recommend and prepare proposals for additional Movio products and services
  • Support the proactive development of targeted campaign opportunities and services proposals for studio, distributor and agency prospects and clients

Campaign Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of direct and digital marketing campaigns and research projects, for both new and existing clients
  • Work collaboratively with the Campaign Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate execution of direct and digital campaigns
  • Liaise with 3rd party stakeholders (Exhibitors, film studios, agencies, publishers, other suppliers) on various aspects of campaign development and execution as required
  • Lead post campaign analysis and reporting, communicating outcomes and insights to studio, distributor and agency clients
  • Coordinate and support internal and external client campaign debriefs - proactively identify and communicate opportunities for improving campaign effectiveness
  • Support the reconciliation and accurate reporting of Movio Media remittances for participating Movio Cinema clients

Commercial Management

  • Ensure that sales and billing activity and other relevant client data is accurately entered and managed within Movio’s sales management systems
  • Work with Movio EMEA’s Regional Director and Head of Accounts to forecast client specific sales targets and ensure they are met
  • Work with Movio Finance team to support activities related to billing and debtors as they pertain to Movio clients


  • Represent Movio at various functions or industry events as required
  • Some international travel (primarily within Europe) will be required
  • Other tasks as directed by the Head of Accounts or Regional Director, EMEA

  • Minimum of 4 years’ account management experience
  • 3-4 years of digital marketing experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field (Advantageous)
  • Experience with data-driven marketing strategies, marketing data analytics, digital advertising, advertising/marketing technology is strongly preferred
  • Experience working within the film industry, (e.g. within a EMEA based film studio, distributor or have actively worked on a studio / distributor account within a media agency or advertising/marketing technology company) would be considered an asset
  • Working in an Agile environment (Advantageous)
  • Strong client relationship skills
