The Software Engineering Team Lead is responsible for helping to nurture, mentor and manage R&D teams, whilst maintaining an active role within the codebase (hands-on technical work). This role would suit someone with a solid background in software engineering and the ability to lead, motivate and build strong teams. Therefore a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills to be able to engage with all levels of our business is a must.
Your role will be split between hands-on technical work, and people leadership work. The workload for each of these is variable, people leadership and people management may take up most of your time some weeks, whilst other weeks may be filled entirely with technical tasks. Flexibility, adaptability and being able to effectively self manage will be important. The top priority is the well being of your team and their performance.
