We have a fantastic opportunity for a senior software engineer to join our exciting mission and develop new greenfileds products and capabilities for our platform. You’ll join our small, mostly Wellington-based team where you will work together on interesting and complex technical projects for our state-of-the-art platform. You will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and make a big impact on the architecture and implementation of our software.

The type of work you can get involved in:

• Work with product owners and engineers to design and develop technical solutions for new features
• Build state-of-the-art web-based tools that lets our users develop and manage their actuarial and mathematical models and projects
• Create scalable back-end infrastructure and services for real-time data aggregation and high-performance computation
• Refine and improve engineering processes — we have an environment that fosters the sharing of ideas.

Requirements: 

• Exposure to technologies such as React, Node.js, and Typescript
• Understanding of development methodologies such as Agile, Kanban, and Scrum
• Working knowledge of version control and source code management (specifically git)
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team or autonomously on your own

Nice to haves:

• Experience with cloud platforms (ideally AWS)
• Exposure to Python and Golang
• Knowledge of maintaining and deploying microservices
