About the role
 
We are searching for a driven and high performing Digital Sales Executive to generate new opportunities and nurture existing relationships for Halter in the New Zealand market. This is an opportunity to positively disrupt an industry and pioneer groundbreaking change on some of the world’s highest performing dairy farms while also helping to move the industry forward and overcome larger macro challenges.
 
You will be responsible for helping to further accelerate growth for one of the fastest growing companies in New Zealand and one of the most exciting start-ups globally. This role is different from other sales roles in Agri, and this product differs from other products or services. You will apply a consultative sales process identifying customers key business drivers and mapping these to Halter’s innovative solution that is transforming dairy farming  in New Zealand and around the world.
 
What your day could look like
    • Virtual Sales meetings: Understanding the needs and problems of your prospects then clearly communicating functionality, benefits and highlighting value relative to each farming operation via phone and google meets.
    • Confirming Deployment: Working with signed customers to confirm deployment dates. 
    • Prospecting: Building and growing a pipeline of quality farms fit for Halter, while continuously reducing sales cycle times. Managing newly sourced and inbound leads through the initial stages of the pipeline including screening and qualifying along with Nurturing lost deals and reigniting prospects.
    • Cross functional collaboration: Work intimately with Business development executives 
    • Networking: Building and leveraging industry relationships to establish and create opportunity
    • Forecasting: Working with the Business Development Manager to enable monthly and quarterly forecasting of revenue.
    • Upselling & Cross Selling: Creating opportunities with existing customers to build further value within their operation. 
Who are we looking for
    • Experience in growing new & existing business, owning the end-to-send sales cycle from lead generation to close via virtual meetings and telesales.
    • Experience in dairy farming or within the agricultural sector with a deep passion for helping farmers succeed.
    • A phenomenal attitude and a team player with the ability to consistently overcome challenges and problem solve.
    • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment with a high degree of autonomy.
