Electric vehicle uptake in New Zealand is picking up speed and we're entering a new phase of growth – we’d love you to be a part of it!

We’re a friendly supportive team with big ambitions who are passionate about our work and provide opportunities for our people to grow. We’re highly cross-functional and work across sales, business development & strategy, mechanical design, installation, electronics, firmware, mobile, and web design.

Evnex is an equal opportunities employer. We seek foremost an aptitude for growth and a common sense of purpose and mission. If you don't feel you meet every requirement of the role - we still encourage you to apply.

The role:

As Evnex’s first SEO developer, you will have the opportunity to amplify our digital marketing efforts through the development and execution of the company's SEO strategy. Day to day, you will work closely with our dynamic marketing team to ensure that our website and content don't just look good, but are successfully optimised and maintained for search engines.  With your analytical expertise, you'll monitor and drive our SEO performance over time with a hands-on approach to making website improvements.

If you're ready to take on a challenge and be a part of a cutting-edge team, this role is perfect for you!

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's SEO strategy, including on-page and off-page optimization, keyword research, content strategy, and link building.
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to ensure our website is optimized for search engines and meets technical SEO requirements.
  • Take ownership of the company website and manage updates and maintenance via Webflow CMS.
  • Perform ongoing keyword research to identify new opportunities to improve visibility.
  • Monitor and report on SEO performance metrics, such as organic traffic, rankings, and conversions.
  • Analyse website analytics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and search engine algorithms.
  • Manage SEO tools and resources.

What we're looking for:

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in SEO, with experience developing and executing successful strategies. They will be a team player who is comfortable working collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders, and who is able to communicate technical SEO concepts to non-technical audiences.

You may be a good fit if you can demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience using digital tools such as SEMrush and Google Analytics to monitor and report on SEO performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other web development languages.
  • Familiarity with website optimization techniques such as schema markup, site speed optimisation, and mobile optimisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
